FORMAL AND INFORMAL EDUCATION –INDIA - AMBIKAPUR
In Ambikapur Province, Ursuline Sisters are serving in 23 institutions with more than 15,150 students ranging from nursery through primary, middle, high and higher secondary school to college age.
Most of the schools are in rural areas where children and youth from poor families have less opportunity for schooling and higher studies due to lack of family income.
As in all our schools sisters are committed to their profession and teach subjects that enable students to gain valuable knowledge while fostering the growth of Christian values and promoting the dignity of the person. When needed sisters provide protection and financial support to students. Counseling and accompaniment are integral to their ministry.
