URSULINE SISTERS IN INDIA
Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk foundation established in India in 1903
The first four Ursulines from Belgium arrived in India in the city of Ranchi on January 13, 1903. Their mission was to work among the poor of Chotanagpur.
Sr. Gonzaga Murless, Sr. Ursula Greenslade, Sr. Antoine Anneessens, Sr. Sabina Van Seybrock joyfully committed themselves to the work of education and evangelization.

The original community of four Ursuline Sisters from Belgium has grown to over 800 professed sisters, novices and postulants. Today, Sisters witness the love of God in the field of education, health care, pastoral work, social work, visiting families in 10 states in India, So that all may have life and have it to the full.
